- Inverter communication problem shown as ALn VAR
- Overcurrent or a motor that overheats
- Blocked drain or a poor water supply
- Door lock failure
- Card or payment failure
The EH and EM numbers are the Continental Girbau E-Series coin washer-extractors: EH020, EH030, EH040, EH060, EH255, EM020 and EM025. The E-Series includes hardmount and softmount versions. An inverter runs the drum, and the control is Logi, LogiPro or Vended, with Inteli on some machines.
The maker recommends running Test Mode when troubleshooting any error, and we do the same. Door lock and card errors have their own codes, so we start there if the washer will not start. An unbalance switch problem has its own code too. Overcurrent and motor overheating send us to the motor and the drive, and a poor water supply or a blocked drain sends us to the plumbing.
We repair these washers coin laundries. Our estimate comes first, on paper, and the repair is then covered for 30 days. Call us or use the online form to set up a visit.

Continental Girbau coin & card laundry codes
What does EH versus EM mean in the model number?
EH and EM are the two prefixes in this E-Series group, which includes hardmount and softmount versions. We match parts to the full number printed on the washer.
Why does my washer show an inverter communication error?
The control and the inverter are not communicating, which can come from the wiring or from the inverter itself. We test the connection and then the drive, and we run Test Mode, as the maker advises for any error.
Can you fix a card payment error on a coin washer?
Yes. We check the card access and its wiring, then the control. Card errors have their own code on these washers, so the display tells us where to start, and the repair follows from that.
