Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Door not closed message that stops the formula
  2. Too long to fill
  3. Too long to drain
  4. Inverter error that stops the machine
  5. Door latch that will not release

The Milnor MCR line has four coin-operated washer-extractors: the MCR09E5, MCR12E5, MCR16E5 and MCR18E4. A seven-formula coin controller and an inverter run the machine. The model is on the data plate.

After a normal cycle the door latch stays locked for 100 seconds so the basket can coast to a stop, so a door that has not opened yet may only need time. When it stays shut longer, we check the latch and the controller. A fill that takes too long leads us to the inlet screens and water pressure, and a long drain to the drain valve and plumbing. Milnor tells owners of coin machines to run the daily door interlock test, and we do it on every visit.

We service older MCR washers. The estimate is on paper before work begins, and a machine that is not worth the repair gets a frank answer.

FAQMilnor MCR Coin Washer-Extractors questions
Why does the door stay locked after the cycle ends?

The latch holds for 100 seconds after a normal cycle so the basket can coast to a stop. If it stays locked longer, we check the latch and the controller.

What is the daily door interlock test?

It is a check, advised for coin machines, that the machine will not run with the door open. We run it during service and show you how it should behave.

Can you repair an older MCR washer?

Yes. We service older MCR machines, confirm parts first, and test the door interlock as part of every visit, because a coin machine must never run with its door open.
