Nuova Simonelli Espresso Machine Repair
We repair Nuova Simonelli espresso machines, including the Aurelia II, Aurelia Wave and Appia families, in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego. The message on the display tells us where to start, so read it to us when you call.
Common Nuova Simonelli problems we fix

Level Error on the display
Delivery Error, no coffee
Doser Error
Overcurrent Err. message
Shots too fast or too slow
Machine will not heat
Which Nuova Simonelli Lines We Repair
The Nuova Simonelli machines we see are traditional group-head espresso machines. The Aurelia II, in its S, V, Digit and T3 versions, is an older line still in daily use. The Aurelia Wave, in Semi-Automatic, Volumetric and Digit versions, is the newer generation. The Appia, Appia II and Appia Life are the compact machines found in smaller cafes.
The Aurelia II says what it is unhappy about in plain words. Level Error appears when the boiler water level has not come back after 90 seconds, so we check the water supply, the pump and the level probe. Delivery Error means the 120-second delivery limit was reached without doser pulses, and Doser Error means no pulses arrived in the first three seconds of a shot, so we test the doser, its wiring and the flow of water. Overcurrent Err. points to a short or a weak part in the electrical circuit. A Diagnosis of Error message means the control has a memory problem and the machine will not heat.
Heat, Grind and Scale
The boiler has a safety thermostat that resets by hand, and the heating resistor is cut out above 130 degrees C. When the machine will not heat, we find out which protection tripped and why. If shots run much slower than the set time, the display says Fine Grinding, and if they run much faster it says Coarse Grinding. Those messages send us to the grinder adjustment first, then to the machine.
Hard water builds scale in boilers and valves, so a filter or softener matters. On an older Aurelia II we say plainly when a repair is no longer worth it. The price is written before work starts, and our repairs carry a 30-day warranty.

The water level in the boiler was not restored within 90 seconds. We check the supply tap, the pump and the level probe, then the fill valve.
Why is my espresso too fast or too slow?
The display may say Coarse Grinding or Fine Grinding when the delivery time is far from the set value. We check the grind first, then the dosing and flow.
Do you repair the older Aurelia II?
Yes. We repair the Aurelia II as well as the Aurelia Wave and Appia machines. If a repair is not worth the cost on an older machine, we tell you before starting.
