La Marzocco Models We Service
The La Marzocco machines we repair in cafes, restaurants and hotel bars include the Linea PB in two- and three-group versions, the paddle-controlled Strada AV, and the multi-boiler GB5. The older Linea Classic, the machine the Linea PB replaced, still pulls shots in many shops, and we keep working on it.
The Linea PB has a display with T1 to T3 buttons, and its messages are specific. Steam Boiler Autofill Failed means the control does not see a full signal from the steam boiler within the allowed time, and the machine shuts down until it is switched off and on. We check the level probe, the autofill valve and the supply. Coffee Boiler 1 Probe Failed and Steam Boiler Probe Failed point to the temperature probes and their connections. Coffee Boiler 1 Is Not Heating means the boiler did not reach its minimum temperature in the programmed time, so we test the heating element and its circuit.
Water Quality and Flow
The maker’s manual calls for a water filter or softener, and water hardness should be checked at installation. Hard water, typical of Los Angeles, San Diego and Houston, leaves scale in boilers, valves and flow meters, so a machine without good filtration pays for it. A Flow Meter No Pulse message often comes from coffee packed too tight, a blocked tube or the pump, and we check them in that order. A Filter alarm is a reminder to change the water filter.
Overheat messages tell the owner to call a technician, and we do not reset them and walk away. We find out why the boiler went past its limit. If an older machine is no longer worth the repair, we tell you plainly. You get a written price before work begins, and the work carries a 30-day warranty.

La Marzocco lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Why did my Linea PB stop with Steam Boiler Autofill Failed?
The control did not get a full signal from the steam boiler in time and shut the machine down. Switching it off and on resets it, but we find out why the boiler did not fill.
Why does my La Marzocco show Flow Meter No Pulse?
Coffee packed too tightly, a blocked tube or a pump problem can stop the flow meter from counting. We check the grind and the tube, then test the pump and the meter.
Do you repair the Linea Classic?
Yes. We service the older Linea Classic along with the Linea PB, Strada AV and GB5. We tell you plainly when a repair on an older machine is not worth it.
