The Super Deck Y series is a floor-model gas deck oven with a mechanical thermostat. The Y-600 and Y-800 are common, along with the Y-602, Y-802 and the DSP versions. With a mechanical thermostat there are no display codes to read, so diagnosis comes from testing.
When the pilot will not stay lit, we check the gas supply, the pilot flame and the thermocouple. A hearth that will not hold temperature points us to the thermostat, the burner and the gas pressure. A cold spot on the deck can come from uneven burner flames or a flue that is partly blocked, so we look at both. Since the thermostat is not electronic, we check its setting against a real temperature reading in the oven.
Deck ovens need combustion air, so keep the space around the oven clear. Heat and humidity in a pizzeria bring out rust on valves and controls. If you smell gas, leave the shop and call the gas utility from outside. We confirm parts before we arrive, and you get a written price before any work. Repairs carry a 30-day warranty on our work.
