Common Middleby Marshall problems we fix

Oven will not heat
Front or rear belt jammed
High Temp Error on the screen
Control Over Temp message
Little air from the fingers
Oven stops during startup
PS-Series Ovens We Repair
Middleby Marshall PS-series conveyor ovens bake in pizza shops and sandwich kitchens. We see the PS520, PS528, PS536, PS540, PS555 and PS570 in gas and electric. The PS640, with a touch-screen controller and a PLC, is the current oven. The PS670, PS770 and PS870 are older ovens with touch-screen controls. The older PS520 and PS528 have a digital temperature controller with an ALM 1 high-limit.
Alerts and What They Point To
A Front Belt Jammed or Rear Belt Jammed alert means a belt has stopped, so we check the belt, the drive and anything caught in the oven. High Temp Error sends us to the thermocouple and the PLC. Control Over Temp, or High Control Compartment Temperature, usually means the front fan filters are clogged, and the oven can shut itself down until they are cleaned. We also check the main blower and combustion blower when the screen reports a problem. On the older digital controllers, rSET means the oven did not reach 200 F within 15 minutes of startup, so we check the gas and ignition. A belt that stays off while the oven is coming up to temperature is normal.
Filters, Fingers and Older Ovens
Grease and flour dust in a hot kitchen load up the front filters quickly, and finger assemblies put back in the wrong order cut airflow. We check both. Older ovens get an honest repair-or-replace answer, a parts check before the visit, a written price and a 30-day workmanship warranty.

It usually means the front fan filters are clogged and the control compartment is running hot. Cleaning or replacing the filters comes first. If the message returns, we check the fans and the thermocouple.
Why will my Middleby Marshall belt not move?
The oven keeps the belt off until it reaches operating temperature, so check the display first. If the oven is hot and the belt still will not move, we check for a jam and test the drive.
