Lincoln Impinger Generations
Lincoln conveyor ovens reach us in several generations. The oldest are the Impinger II 1100 series with the analog time and temperature display, models like the 1116, 1130 and 1132. The Impinger II Advantage Digital version, such as the 1116-000-A and 1132-000-A, has a push-button digital control. We also see the Impinger I 1400 series, the Series 3200 ovens with the 32 inch belt, and the current Aperion 24, which has a touchscreen and separate blower drives.
Diagnosing a Lincoln Conveyor Oven
When an oven will not heat, we begin with the gas valve, the gas hose and the probe connections. On Advantage Digital and 1400 controls, OPEN PROBE and SHORTED PROBE send us to the temperature probe circuit, and SHORTED PROBE can also appear when gas is not reaching the oven at all. BELT JAM points to the conveyor motor and belt. On an older 1100 with dashes in the time display, we look at the belt sensor and its wiring. On an Aperion 24 we read the thermocouple and blower alarms, then test wiring and incoming voltage at the drives.
Heat, Grease and Older Ovens
A conveyor oven in a hot kitchen asks a lot of its control box, and poor ventilation around it leads to overheating, more so in humid Miami and Houston. We check the cooling fan and clear flour and grease dust from the vents. Clogged air fingers cause uneven bake, so we clean them and put them back in the right order. On older 1100 and 1400 ovens we say plainly when a repair is worth it and when replacement is the better spend. We confirm parts before the visit, give a written price before any work, and back the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Yes. We service the 1100 series with analog displays, the Advantage Digital 1100 ovens, the 1400 series and the Series 3200. If an older oven is not worth repairing, we tell you before any work begins.
What does SHORTED PROBE mean on my Lincoln oven?
The control is seeing a steady temperature signal instead of the normal cycling reading. It can also appear when no gas reaches the oven. Check that the gas valve is open and the hose is connected, then call us.
Can you work on the Aperion 24 touchscreen oven?
Yes. We read the thermocouple and blower alarms on the screen, then test wiring and incoming power at the blower drives. We confirm parts before we arrive.
