Err with GA:S on a Southbend EZ Com combination oven is a gas error: the burner did not light or flame was not proven. Make sure the gas valve is open, and call us. If you smell gas, leave the area and call the gas utility.
High: the gas is shut off for safety, and the oven will not heat until the ignition problem is fixed.

What does Southbend error code Err + GA:S mean?
The GA:S code covers the whole ignition sequence. The controller opens the gas, tries to light the burner with the ignitors, and checks for flame. If flame is not proven, it shows Err in the TEMPERATURE display and GA:S in the TIME display. The manual sends the technician to the Gas Error flowchart on page 30. It starts with the gas valve being open and the supply pressure being above 7 in. W.C. For natural gas and 11 in. W.C. For propane. It then watches the ignitors in the first 101 seconds, checks the ignitor voltage, and inspects the pilots, the orifice and the flame sensor. Manifold pressure should be about 4 in. W.C. For natural gas and 10 in. W.C. For propane, and the gas valve is replaced if it is wrong.
