Continental Girbau Washer Error Code ALn / bAL: Balance Switch
ALn / bAL is the balance switch alarm: the switch detected an out-of-balance condition. Spread the load, make sure the washer is at least three-quarters full and level, and restart. If it repeats, a technician checks the switch, wiring and panels.
Medium: the spin stops for protection, and a properly spread load usually clears it.

What does Continental Girbau error code ALn / bAL mean?
During extract, an unevenly loaded drum shakes the washer, and a balance switch trips to stop the spin before damage is done. The Logi and LogiPro controls show that as ALn / bAL. The manual's checks reflect what keeps a drum balanced: the machine should be at least three-quarters loaded, installed and leveled, with the panels and fasteners in place on the EH020, and the balance switch and its wiring working. The unbalance value is compared with the service manual and the inverter is replaced if the value is above it. The sheet adds that an EH020 can be configured as an EM020, which matters when the correct settings are checked. The document leaves the cause open and lists only what to check. A small load of heavy items, or a rug-like piece wound into a ball, is the most common reason.
