Hobart Commercial Dishwasher Error Code LOW RINSE TEMP: Rinse Too Cool
LOW RINSE TEMP on a Hobart LXe dishwasher means the rinse water was too cool for three cycles in a row. The machine keeps running cycles. Check the incoming water temperature and supply.
Medium: the machine keeps running, but a cool final rinse is a hygiene concern.

What does Hobart LOW RINSE TEMP mean?
The final rinse needs hot water to sanitize and to flash-dry the dishes. The control checks the rinse temperature each cycle. After two consecutive low rinse temperatures, it shows LOW RINSE TEMP if the problem occurs again on the third cycle. The machine continues to run cycles, so it is a warning and not a shutdown. The manual's action is to check the incoming water temperature and the supply, and the table states no other step. That means the cause is usually outside the machine: a hot water heater turned down or running short, a supply valve partly closed, or a long cold line to the kitchen. On heater models the machine's own booster is the other candidate, and for a booster problem the machine shows its own sensor messages. If the incoming water is hot and the message persists, a technician has to look at the rinse heating.

- Machine still completing its cycles
Possible causes
Likely causes — what usually sits behind LOW RINSE TEMP on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Low rinse temperature on three consecutive cycles
- Building hot water heater set too low or overloaded at peak times
- Hot supply valve partly closed
- Long cold pipe run feeding the dishwasher
- Booster heating element weak on a booster model
Safe checks before calling for service
- Check that the hot water supply valve to the dishwasher is fully open.
- Run hot water at a nearby tap and see how hot it gets.
- Note the time of day when the message appears.
- Report whether the dishes dry normally and tell us the model.
How a technician diagnoses LOW RINSE TEMP
- Read the incoming water temperature at the machine.
- Check the supply valve and line strainer.
- On booster models check booster operation and rinse temperature at the sensor.
- Compare the rinse reading with a thermometer.
- Correct the supply or heating part and run cycles to confirm.
- Measuring rinse temperature at the probe and testing a booster element involves live 208-240 V heater circuits.
- The hot water heater itself may belong to a plumber.
How LOW RINSE TEMP differs from similar codes
LOW RINSE TEMP is the first-stage message; after 10 consecutive cycles it changes to include Check Water Input.
