Dexter Coin-Operated Laundry Repair
We repair Dexter coin and card washers, dryers and stacked washer-dryers for laundromats and apartment laundry rooms in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, including the coin drop, the display and the control behind each machine. Tell us the model number and we plan the parts before we visit.
Common Dexter coin & card laundry problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Machine will not accept coins
Coins not counted correctly
Display returns to default settings
Machine beeps and counts 3-2-1, stops
Stacked unit works on one side only
When a coin machine refuses coins, we check the coin acceptor, the door closed switch and the control fuse. A washer or dryer that miscounts coins is usually a coin drop problem, so we test the pulse path and the wiring before changing the control.
If the display goes back to factory defaults, we look at the transformer taps and the voltage supplied to the machine. A dryer that beeps, counts 3-2-1 and stops is often caused by the emergency stop button, and we inspect it.
We work on the T-series washers, the T-450 stacked washer-dryer and the T-30 through T-120 gas dryers, with their stacked versions. Parts are confirmed from the model number before the visit.
A laundromat earns only when every machine runs, so once parts are confirmed we plan to finish the repair in one visit. You see the price in writing first, and our work carries a 30-day warranty.

Look the code up before you reset anything or open a panel.
My Dexter machine will not take coins. What do I check?
Look for a jammed coin and make sure the door is fully closed. If both are fine, call us. We test the coin acceptor, the door closed switch, the control fuse and the wiring, then give you a written price.
Why did my display go back to default settings?
Low or wrong supply voltage and incorrect transformer taps are common reasons. We check the voltage at the machine and the taps, and correct what is wrong before the display settings are entered again.
Can you repair the stacked washer-dryer?
Yes. We repair the T-450 stacked washer-dryer and the stacked dryer models. We check the washer side and the dryer side separately, so you know which part has the problem and what each repair costs.
