Hillphoenix Display Case Repair
We repair Hillphoenix display refrigerators in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, from self-contained R-290 merchandisers to remote NRG multi-deck and meat, produce and dairy cases. We start with case airflow, defrost and drains, and tell you which side of the refrigeration system owns the problem.
Common Hillphoenix problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Case not holding temperature
Frost buildup on the coil
Water overflowing from the case
Condenser fan not turning

Hillphoenix Case Families
We repair the PF-SC and CF-SC self-contained multi-deck merchandisers that use R-290, the NRG remote multi-deck line such as the 3NDML, 5DMLH and 6DMLH, and a wide range of remote cases. Those include OIM, O3IP, O5DR, JNRBHSA and JNRZHSA, O2DMZD, DB-R, DI-H, MIDA, GMD-RGC, AGB-R, MBI-R, 05DMA and the OWIZ, OWEZ, OSAA and OWZA families for meat, produce, dairy, deli and bakery.
These cases are designed for air-conditioned stores at 75 degrees F and no more than 55 percent relative humidity. A store door that stays open or a case loaded past its line can push it out of that range, and humid summers in Miami and Houston make it easy. The result is a warm case, heavy frost and water on the floor.
Our Order of Work
For a self-contained case, the maker’s own checklist starts with power at the plug and breaker, the thermostat setting, the overload and a clogged condensing unit, then an iced evaporator. We follow the same order. On remote cases the problem often lies in defrost, drains, fans or the store control, so we check those and tell you which side owns the problem.
R-290 is flammable, and the maker warns against using mechanical devices to speed up defrost or puncturing tubing. We follow that, so a frozen coil gets a proper defrost, not a shortcut. We also repair older Hillphoenix cases when the cabinet is sound and say so plainly when it is not. You have our price in writing before we start, and our workmanship is covered for 30 days.

Hillphoenix lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Can you service the R-290 PF-SC self-contained cases?
Yes. We service the PF-SC and CF-SC cases, and we follow the maker's rules for R-290, a flammable refrigerant. That means no mechanical defrost and no puncturing the tubing.
Why does my Hillphoenix case ice up?
Heavy frost usually comes from a defrost cycle that is not clearing the coil, a blocked drain, or warm humid store air. We check defrost, drain and airflow, and the store conditions.
Do you repair remote Hillphoenix cases tied to the store system?
Yes. We check the case side: fans, defrost, drains, lighting and temperature. If the cause is on the store's refrigeration system, we tell you what we found so the right party can fix it.
