Primus PCG Washer-Extractors
Primus machines we repair carry PCG model numbers, from the PCG020QN through the PCG100QN. They are 20 to 100 pound washer-extractors with a front-end control, an I/O board and a drive board. If you are not sure what you have, find the model number on the data plate and send it to us.
The controls report problems in plain language and in codes. A door lock error means the control did not see the door locked when it should have. A drain error appears when water does not leave the drum within the set time, 15 minutes by default. Errors that begin with E d come from the drive board. Leak errors relate to fill and drain.
Water, Lint and Heat
Scale from hard water gathers in valves, screens and drain valves, and in a warm laundry room lint and heat make the electronics work harder. For a drain error we check the drain valve, the outlet and the plumbing behind it. For a door error we test the latch, the lock switch and the harness. For an E d code we check the drive board, the motor and their wiring.
We confirm parts by model number before the visit. The quote is in writing, and each repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty. On older machines we say plainly when a repair is not worth it.

What does a drain error on my washer mean?
The water did not leave the drum in the time the control allows. Check for a kinked hose or a backed-up floor drain. If it repeats, we test the drain valve and its wiring.
What is an E d code?
It is a drive board message. Turn the power off and on once. If it returns, we test the drive board, the motor and the wiring and tell you in writing what a repair would cost.
