Common Stero conveyor dish machines problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Conveyor jams or stops
Tank heat is low
Final rinse below 180 degrees F
Chemical sanitizing rinse too cool
The SCT-44 is a single-tank rack conveyor, 44 inches long, with a 20 inch rack width and a 180 degree F final rinse. The SCT-44-10 is 10 inches longer, and the SCT-44-CSA uses chemical sanitizing. We also work on the SCT-64, SCT-66S, SCT-94 and the ER-44 series, along with Stero’s modular and flight-type conveyors. Most of these are older machines that are still in service, and we repair them.
When a conveyor stops, we check the rack path first, then the drive, the motor and the limit switches. A tank that stays cool gets a check of the heater or steam supply, the thermostat and the level. A final rinse below 180 degrees F sends us to the booster, the rinse supply and the nozzles, where scale tends to form. Humidity and scale are hard on every part of a long machine.
We confirm the model before the visit so the right parts arrive with us. The price is written down before we begin, and our work is covered for 30 days.

Do you repair older Stero SCT conveyors?
Yes. We repair the SCT-44, SCT-64, SCT-66S and SCT-94 as well as ER-44 machines. Tell us the model and what the machine does, and we say honestly whether a repair is worth it.
Why is my Stero conveyor final rinse below 180 degrees F?
Scale on the booster, a thermostat out of range or weak incoming hot water are the usual reasons. We test each one and give you a written price before we start the repair.
What is the difference between an SCT-44 and an SCT-44-CSA?
The SCT-44 rinses at 180 degrees F, while the SCT-44-CSA sanitizes with chemicals. The repair path differs, so the model name matters when you call us.
