Torrey Meat Grinder Repair
We repair Torrey M-series meat grinders, from the M-12FS to the M-32 three-phase models, in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego. Tell us the model and we plan the parts before the visit and quote the price in writing.
Common Torrey problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Motor will not start or turn
Meat smears instead of cutting
Worm or stud shows wear
Head lock knob is loose
Head will not hold firmly
Torrey’s M-series grinders are sized by head, from number 12 to number 32. The models we see include the M-12FS, M-22R, M-22R1, M-22-RW, M-32 and the M-32-3PH three-phase version, and the M-32-5HP. The larger M-32 machines use three-phase power or a 220 volt supply, so the electrical side matters as much as the grinding head.
When the motor will not turn, we check the switch and the overload first, then the supply and the motor. Meat that smears instead of cutting means the knife is dull or the plate is worn, and we replace the pair together. Wear on the worm or the stud shows up as poor feeding or a head that will not hold, and a loose head lock knob has the same effect.
These are mechanical grinders with no display, and in a cold meat room washed down daily, switches and seals take the most punishment. We check them while we are in the machine.
If yours is an older machine, tell us the model name and what it does, and we can usually say before the visit which parts to bring. If the machine is worn past a sensible repair, we say so plainly.
We settle on the parts before arriving and write up the price before starting. The work carries a 30-day warranty.
Torrey lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Do you repair three-phase Torrey M-32 grinders?
Yes. We service the M-32-3PH and the 5 horsepower versions, and we check the electrical supply and the starter along with the head. We put the price in writing before work starts.
Why does my Torrey grinder tear the meat instead of cutting it?
A dull knife or a worn plate is the usual cause. We replace the pair together, check the worm for wear, and tell you the price in writing before the work.
Can you fix a loose head lock knob on my Torrey grinder?
Yes. We inspect the knob, the stud and the head, and replace what is worn so the head holds firmly. We confirm the right parts before we come.
