Three Kinds of BUNN Equipment
BUNN covers three kinds of equipment that we see in cafes, offices, convenience stores and restaurants. The brewers include the New Infusion ITB and ITCB families, with high-voltage and twin versions, and the ICB line with its Soft Heat server models. The grinders run from the G9-2T HD, G9-2 HD and G9 HD down to the older G1 HD, G3, MHG, FPG, FPG-2 and LPG-2. For frozen drinks we work on the current Ultra NX and the older ULTRA-1, ULTRA-2 and ULTRA-2A dispensers.
Hard water, common in Los Angeles, San Diego and Houston, shows up first in a BUNN brewer. Lime builds on the level probe, the dispense valve and the temperature probe. That is why a brewer refills without shutting off, drips from the sprayhead, spits or steams, or never reaches brewing temperature. A tank that has not been delimed on schedule is the most common reason we get called.
Diagnosis Starts at the Display
On a brewer that will not start, we read the display message, check the water supply, then test the tank heater, the temperature probe, the limit thermostat and the control board. When a board is replaced, recipes, probe calibration and the serial number have to be entered again, and we do that during the visit.
On the frozen drink dispensers, a Filter Needs Cleaning message usually means a dirty rear air screen or poor airflow around the cabinet. Product that is too thick or too thin points us to the mix ratio before anything else. On older ULTRA units we also check the torque and temperature sensor circuits.
When an older grinder or dispenser costs more to fix than it is worth, we say so. You get a written price before work starts, and the repair carries a 30-day warranty.

BUNN lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Do you repair older BUNN grinders like the G3 and FPG?
Yes. We service the G1 HD, G3, MHG, FPG, FPG-2 and LPG-2 grinders along with the current G9 models. If an older grinder is not worth repairing, we tell you before any work begins.
Why does my BUNN brewer keep refilling or dripping?
Lime on the level probe or the dispense valve is the usual cause in hard water. We clean and test the probe and valve, check the refill circuit, and give you a written price first.
My BUNN frozen drink machine shows Filter Needs Cleaning. What should I do?
Clean the rear air screen and make sure the machine has clear space around it, as the owner's manual describes. If the message returns, call us and we check the airflow and the compressor.
Do you repair the older ULTRA-1 and ULTRA-2 dispensers?
Yes. We work on ULTRA-1, ULTRA-2 and ULTRA-2A units as well as the Ultra NX. We check the sensors, the auger and the freezing system, and tell you plainly if a repair no longer pays.
