Continental Girbau Washer Error Code ALn / A: Water Fill Alarm
ALn / A (the display alternates ALn and A) means the washer did not reach the programmed water level within the set time. Check that the water supply valves are open, then restart. If it repeats, a technician should check the inlet filter, fill valves and pressure switch.

What does Continental Girbau error code ALn / A mean?
At the start of each step the control opens the fill valves and counts down a set time. It watches the water level through a pressure switch that is connected to the tub by an air dome and a small pressure tube. If the level has not been reached when the time runs out, the control stops the fill and shows an alternating ALn and A. The manual's causes are all things that stop water arriving or stop the level being read: a closed supply, a clogged conical filter screen, a failed fill valve, or a clogged air dome or pressure tube. The checks follow the same order. Make sure the water supply valve is open, clean the conical filter screen, use Test Mode on the water valves, check the drain and pressure switch, check power to the fill valves, the air dome and the pressure tube, and replace the valve or pressure switch if needed. Slow filling in a building with low pressure or a wrong tub-level reading can also run the timer out.
