The UC is Continental’s front-breathing undercounter refrigerator, in 24 and 48 inch widths. Four numbers are listed: UC24N, UC24SN, UC48N and one more. Front-breathing means the unit draws air through the front grille, so it can sit flush between cabinets.
Because it breathes through the front, lint and grease collect on the grille and the condenser quickly. We clean those first, then check the gaskets, the fans and the control. The easy electronic control reports probe errors as E0, E1 and E2.
Keep the front clear of mops and boxes, and tell us the plate number when you call. We confirm the gasket from the plate and recheck the temperature before we leave. We also check that the unit sits level and that the door closes squarely against its gasket, since a slightly tilted box lets water collect and the seal gape.

The unit draws and expels air at the front, so it needs a clear grille. A unit that is boxed in or blocked at the front runs hot and long.
Why does my UC run hot?
A clogged grille or condenser is the common cause, especially near a fryer. We clean the coil and check clearance, then the fan and gasket.
Do you repair the 24 inch units?
Yes. The 24 and 48 inch units get the same checks, and we confirm the gasket from the plate number before the visit. The 48 inch has two doors.
