The CX20 is Insinger’s ventless high-temperature door-type dishwasher, rated at 60 racks an hour. It uses an IS booster, short for Integrated and Submerged, which recaptures heat, and a quad-arm wash that sprays from four directions. Because it handles its own steam, it can work without a vent hood. The data plate reads CX20.
When a CX20 rinses cool, we start with the incoming water and the booster, since scale from water builds on heating parts. Steam or water escaping at the door sends us to the seal and the condensing parts. We also look at the four wash arms, which clog with food and scale.

What is an IS booster?
The maker calls it an Integrated and Submerged booster. It sits in the machine and recaptures heat for the final rinse. If the rinse runs cool, we test it and the incoming water.
