Common Insinger dish machines problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Rinse not reaching 180 degrees F
Scale in the booster
Pumped drain does not empty
Chemical pump will not prime
Door switch or start problem
The Cadet handles about 30 racks an hour on three cycles, and it has a built-in atmospheric booster. The Ensign 40-2 is a single-tank counter machine with a pass-through telescoping hood and needs no vent. The Commander Ace is a high-temperature door-type machine with a digital display, membrane switches and a pumped drain, and the CX20 is a ventless door-type with an IS booster that recaptures heat and a four-arm wash.
Booster scale is the most common cause of a cool rinse. The Commander Ace has an ACE Mode that starts a delime and sanitize routine, and the Cadet also has a quick delime cycle. If the routine is skipped for long, the element and tank pay for it. We also check the incoming water temperature, the thermostat and the high limit. A pumped drain that will not empty points us to the pump, its hose and the controls.
These Insinger machines have a built-in chemical priming system, and we test it when a chemical pump will not draw product.

Does the Insinger CX20 need a vent hood?
The CX20 is a ventless door-type machine with an IS booster that recaptures heat. If it stops heating or the rinse turns cool, call us with the model and we test the booster and controls.
Why will my Insinger Commander Ace not drain?
The Commander Ace has a pumped drain. A clogged drain line, a drain pump problem or a control issue can keep it from emptying. Check the drain line is clear, then call us.
How do I keep scale out of my Insinger Cadet booster?
Use the quick delime cycle on schedule. Skipping it lets lime build on the element and tank, and the rinse suffers. If the rinse is already cool, call us and we test the booster.
