P7 and PX7 are Kolpak walk-ins that come with a Polar-Pak top-mount refrigeration system. Model numbers include P7-0610-CT, P7-1006-CT, P7-1008-CT, P7-1208-CT, PX7-0608-CT and PX7-0812-CT. The full number on the data plate tells us the exact box.
For these boxes we start with the door, because gaskets, closers and heaters decide how much warm air gets in. Then we check the coil, the defrost and the Polar-Pak system on top. If the control shows SF, OP, SH or EE, we read it and trace the sensor or the control.

What do I check at the door?
Look for gaps in the gasket, a door that does not latch, and frost around the frame. Those let warm air in and load the coil.
