The Designer Line is Continental’s upgraded reach-in range, with plate numbers that begin with D1R, D2R or D3R. It includes roll-in versions marked D1RIN and D2RIN and pass-thru versions. One hundred sixteen numbers are listed, such as D1REN, D1RENGD and D1RENGDHD.
The control is the same easy electronic control found on the standard line, so the probe messages mean the same. A roll-in version adds a sill and a door that takes cart hits, and we check those along with the gasket. A pass-thru has doors on both sides and double the wear.
Read the full number from the plate, since the suffixes tell us the door style.

The cabinets are styled and finished differently, but the control and the checks are similar. Parts can differ, so we use the full plate number.
What does D1RIN mean?
It marks a Designer Line roll-in cabinet, built for racks and carts. We check the sill and door edge as well as the refrigeration. The sill and lower door edge take cart hits.
Do the same codes apply to both lines?
Yes. E0, E1, E2, LO and HI mean the same on the Designer Line as on the standard line, and the same easy control reports them.
