Repairs this series usually needs
- Milk above safe range
- Gasket wear
- Dirty condenser
- Probe errors
- Drain blockage
The MC is Continental’s forced-air milk cooler, in MC3, MC4 and MC5 sizes. Twenty-four numbers are listed, such as MC3ND, MC3NDCW and MC3NS. Forced air moves cold air through crates of milk so the cartons cool evenly, and the fan is what makes the cooler work.
We check the temperature with a thermometer first, then the gaskets, the condenser and the fans. A fan that has stopped leaves the cartons at the back warm even when the box feels cold. Milk spills also reach the drain, so we check that too.
Tell us your service dates, and we plan the visit before the milk is needed. We recheck the temperature near the back crates before we leave, since that is where a weak fan shows first.

Fans push cold air through the crates so every carton cools evenly. If a fan stops, some cartons stay warm even though the cooler feels cold.
Why does the cooler smell sour?
Spilled milk in the drain or under the crates is the usual cause. We clear the drain and clean what we can reach. We also check that the drain slope carries liquid away from the crates.
Can you check the cooler before school starts?
Yes. Tell us the date and we schedule a visit before it, so the cooler is ready for the first day. Tell us the date and we plan around it.
