Repairs this series usually needs
- Low water in the steam generator
- Fan motor protection tripping
- Wiring compartment too hot
- Temperature sensor circuits
- Gas supply and ignition on OGS and OGB
The OES, OEB, OGS and OGB ovens are the older Convotherm combi line that came before the C4. The first letters tell the type: electric or gas, with injection or with a steam generator. The numbers after them, such as 6.10 or 20.20, give the size, from table-top ovens to floor-standing ones.
On these ovens the identification module tells the control which model it is. Most calls we see start with water filling, the fluff filter on the oven floor, the base air intake, a sensor circuit or the steam generator pump. On the gas versions we also check the gas tap and the burner.
These are older ovens still in service in many kitchens. These ovens get a written price before work, and a frank word about whether another repair is wise.

What do OES, OEB, OGS and OGB stand for?
OES is electric with injection and OEB is electric with a steam generator. OGS and OGB are the gas equivalents. The letters help us bring the right parts.
Why does my older Convotherm say the wiring compartment is too hot?
Usually the fluff filter on the oven floor or the air intake in the base is clogged. Cleaning them often clears it. If it returns, the fan needs a look.
Are OES parts still easy to find?
Many parts for this line are still available to us. We confirm what is needed ahead of the visit and say early if a part cannot be found.
