Repairs this series usually needs
- Compartment door leaking steam
- Low steam pressure
- Boiler or generator scale
- Burner not lighting on gas models
- Timer not shutting steam off
ET and ETP steamers are older Market Forge compartment steamers. A 3 or 5 or 10 in the model gives the compartment count, and E or G at the end means electric or gas, as in ET-5E and ETP-10G.
On these we check door gaskets and latches first, because a leaking door is the most common complaint. Then we look at steam supply: water fill, scale, and the heat source. Gas models get an ignition and burner check, and gas in the air means going outside to phone the gas company. Let the compartment cool and the steam release before opening it.
They are old but sturdy, and we repair them when it makes sense. Bring the exact model from the plate when you book and we confirm what parts we can get.

It is a gas compartment steamer in the ETP family, and the G marks gas. The data plate shows the full model, and we use that number to match parts before we come.
Why does my compartment leak steam?
A worn door gasket or a loose latch is the usual cause. We check both, replace what is worn, and put the repair on paper before any work on the door begins.
Is repairing an older ET steamer sensible?
Often. These older compartment steamers are well built, and many repairs are worth doing. You get the price on paper first, and a frank answer when a repair would not pay off.
