Model numbers in this series

Find yours on the data plate. Letters after the base number usually mark the voltage, finish or door and do not change the repair.

  • AM15 (ML-130038)
  • AM15F (ML-130045)
  • AM15T (ML-130039)
  • AM15VL (ML-130153)
  • AM15VLF (ML-130155)
  • AM15VLT (ML-130154)

Repairs this series usually needs

  1. E2 for no or slow fill
  2. Ed for a slow leak
  3. E6 or P1, P2 and P3 with the wrench light on
  4. Standpipe or O-ring leaks
  5. Strainer clogged by scale

The AM15 family is a door-type undercounter machine, and many of them are older units still in daily service. The letters after AM15 matter: F is a front loader, T is a tall chamber, and VL means ventless. Model numbers on the plate start with ML, such as ML-130038 for the AM15.

Most calls start with the display. E2 points to a fill that was too slow, Ed to a slow leak at the standpipe or O-ring, and a lit wrench with P1, P2 or P3 means the machine wants service. We check the hot water supply and strainer first, then the standpipe seal, then the float and heating parts.

Older AM15 machines are often worth repairing, and we tell you plainly when one is not.

FAQHobart AM15 and AM Select Door-Type Undercounter Dishwashers questions
What does the ML number on the plate mean?

It is the model number the maker uses for each version, such as ML-130045 for the AM15F. Have it ready when you call so we can confirm parts before the visit.

Is a ventless AM15VL different to repair?

The checks are much the same. The VL models need no Type II hood, but we still test the fill, the seals and the heating. We also confirm the exact model first.

Is an old AM15 worth fixing?

Often yes, because many are legacy machines still working. You get a written price first, and we say plainly if a repair costs more than it is worth.
