The Nu-Vu PROW series adds Automist humidity and an autofill water connection to the PRO proofer. The PROW-8, PROW-16 and PROW-18 have mechanical controls, and the water connection keeps the pan filled without hand pouring.
When humidity is missing, we check the water supply to the autofill, the fill valve and the Automist parts. When the cabinet does not heat, we check the thermostat, hi-limit and element. A water connection brings its own failures, and hard water scale blocks small passages. Water varies by area, so scale is worth watching.
The water connection adds parts that can fail, so we check supply, valve and Automist parts in order. A written price comes first, and we are frank when a repair is not worth it.

What is Automist?
It is the humidity system on the PROW series. Together with the autofill connection, it keeps humidity going without filling the pan by hand. Ask us if unsure.
Why is there no humidity?
The water supply, the fill valve or scale in the Automist parts may need attention. Hard water scale blocks small fittings, and we start with the water, then work toward the Automist parts, and show you each one we find.
Does hard water hurt an autofill proofer?
Yes. Scale blocks small passages and coats elements, so a water filter or regular descaling helps. We look at scale during every visit. Water varies by area, so ask us what suits your site.
