Before the touch-screen XTS, Fetco built the earlier CBS-2000 and CBS-2100 Extractor brewers. They are an older line, often with the model CBS-2131 on the data plate, and a good number are still brewing in restaurants and offices.
These brewers have no touch screen, so we diagnose from how the brewer acts: slow heat, slow fill, a leak or a drip. Scale on the probe and valves is the usual cause in this city.
We repair them, and if a newer brewer would be the smarter spend, we tell you. Bring the exact model from the data plate to the call so we can confirm parts before the visit. We also check the spray area and the tank connections for drips, since leaks tell us a lot about where scale has built up.

Is the CBS-2131 an older brewer?
Yes, the CBS-2131 without XTS in the model belongs to the earlier line. The CBS-2131XTS is the newer touch-screen version. Check the data plate for the exact letters.
Do you still repair these older brewers?
Yes. Repairs are quoted in writing first, and if the brewer is too far gone to justify one, we tell you before we touch it.
My older Extractor heats slowly. Why?
Scale on the heater and probe is the common cause. Check the water filter and call us to schedule service so we can descale and test the heating parts.
