The T-450 SWD Express is Dexter’s 30 pound stacked washer-dryer. It is one model, and the plate on the cabinet shows its serial number and details. Both machines share a cabinet, so our first job is to learn which half has stopped working.
On the washer half, our usual checks are the coin acceptor, the door lock and switch, the water supply and the drain. On the dryer half, we look at ignition and the airflow switch on gas, the lint screens and the exhaust, and then the belt and motor if the drum does not turn. Lint and heat build up fast in a small laundry room.

What size is the T-450 SWD Express?
It is a 30 pound stacked washer-dryer, with both machines in one cabinet. We check each half separately and then run them together, because trouble in one half can pass for trouble in the other.
Why does the dryer half stay cold?
We check the ignition and the airflow switch, the lint screens and the exhaust, because blocked airflow shuts the heat off, and lint builds up quickly in a busy laundry. Gas is shut off before any service.
Can you repair just the washer half?
Yes. We repair the half with the problem and test both before we leave, so no second problem catches you out later. Each half has its own parts, so one repair rarely affects the other half.
