Model numbers in this series
Find yours on the data plate. Letters after the base number usually mark the voltage, finish or door and do not change the repair.
- ML-175
- ML-190
Repairs this series usually needs
- Flame that keeps going out
- High exhaust temperature stop
- Tumbler that does not turn
- Dryer that is slow to dry a full load
- Control message about the door or lint drawer
The ML-175 and ML-190 are the larger on-premise dryers in the American Dryer line. Each uses an OPL microprocessor control, Phase 6 or Phase 7, and the data plate carries the model and the control version.
Large dryers push a lot of air, and they suffer when the exhaust is short of capacity. Lint in a long duct, a stuck weather hood or too little makeup air shows up as long drying times and high exhaust stops, so airflow gets tested along with the burner. A flame that will not stay lit leads us to ignition and flame sensing, and a tumbler that does not turn leads to the drive.
Older units are fine by us. To book, call or use the online form. The estimate is put in writing first, and a worn-out dryer gets a direct answer.

What is the difference between Phase 6 and Phase 7?
Both are versions of the OPL microprocessor control on the ML-175 and ML-190. The plate on the dryer shows which one is fitted, and parts are matched to that.
Why is my large dryer slow to dry?
Airflow is the first suspect: lint in the duct, a stuck hood or too little makeup air. We check those before the burner, since a large dryer cannot dry without moving a great deal of air.
Do you repair the ML-190?
Yes. We service both large models, the ML-175 and the ML-190, and we read the data plate for the control version before ordering parts, so the correct parts are on the truck.
