Marsal Deck Pizza Oven Repair
We repair Marsal brick-lined gas deck ovens in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego, including the MB, SD and MBC models and the WF wood-fired and gas ovens. Pizzerias with older decks are our regular customers.
Common Marsal problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Oven will not hold temperature
Pilot goes out
Hot spots on the deck
Cracked or damaged hearth brick
Burner will not light
Thermostat knob does not match the oven
Marsal Deck Oven Lines
Pizzerias have used Marsal gas deck ovens for years. The MB Series is brick-lined, with a thermostat that controls the oven across a wide pizza range. The SD Series hides its thermostat and safety valve behind a vented control door. The MBC ovens stack an MB oven on top of an SD, and the WF Series covers wood-fired and gas ovens.
Mechanical Controls, So No Codes
These ovens use a mechanical thermostat rather than a digital control, so there are no error codes to read. When an oven will not hold temperature, we look at the thermostat, the safety valve, the pilot and the burner. If the pilot is out, we check the gas supply, the pilot flame and the thermocouple. Hot spots send us to the burner and the hearth, and damaged brick gets a clear explanation of what can be patched and what needs replacing.
Rear clearance matters on a deck oven because the burner needs combustion air, so we look at the space behind the oven during the visit. Heat and humid kitchens can make older valves and thermostats drift, so we test them against a real temperature reading. We say plainly when an older Marsal deck is worth repairing, confirm parts before we arrive, and give you a written price before work begins. A 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.

The mechanical thermostat can drift with age, or the burner may not be getting enough gas or air. We check the oven against a real temperature reading and test the thermostat first.
My Marsal pilot keeps going out. What do you check?
We check the gas supply, the pilot flame, the thermocouple and the safety valve, in that order. A draft or low rear clearance can also play a part, so we look at the setup.
Do you repair stacked Marsal ovens?
Yes. We service the MBC ovens, which are an MB stacked on an SD, along with MB, SD and WF models. We confirm parts for each deck before we arrive.
