Many display messages are simple prompts, such as Fill water tank, Empty coffee grounds container, Empty drip tray, Close front cover and Fill left bean container. These stop products until they are handled, so check them first. Clean the milk system, Clean machine, Change the filter and Decalcify machine are maintenance prompts, and ignoring them leads to real repairs.
When a Prompt Becomes a Repair
If Fill water tank stays on after the tank is full, a float may be stuck, and on the WE8 we check it. If Empty drip tray stays on, dirty or wet drip tray contacts are a common cause on the GIGA X8, and we clean and test them. Only drips of coffee usually means grind too fine or limescale in the machine. Weak milk foam comes from a dirty dual spout or frother.
Error 2 and Error 5 can appear after the machine has been in the cold for a long time, because heating is disabled. Let it warm up in the room. For other Error messages, the maker says to switch off and contact support, and that is when we come out. The machine is meant for an ambient temperature of about 10 to 35 degrees C and humidity no higher than 80 percent, which matters in a storeroom or garage, especially a humid one near the coast. A written price comes before the work, and a 30-day warranty follows it.

Why does my Jura say Error 2 or Error 5?
If the machine sat in the cold for a long time, heating is disabled. Let it warm to room temperature and try again. If the Error stays, we test the heating and sensors.
Why does the machine say Empty drip tray when it is empty?
Dirty or wet contacts on the drip tray are the usual reason on the GIGA X8. Wipe and dry the tray area, then call us if the message stays.
