MEIKO Commercial Dishwasher Error Code 115: Drain Pump Ran at Safety Level
Code 115 on the M-iClean U display reads Drain pump active after triggering of the safety level. The drain pump ran because the safety level was reached, and the manual says it is possible to continue working.
Medium: the machine keeps working, but the water reached its safety level and the cause is not listed.

What does MEIKO error code 115 mean?
The M-iClean U has a safety level, a limit on how high the water may rise inside the machine. If the water reaches that level, the control starts the drain pump to bring it back down and then shows message 115, Drain pump active after triggering of the safety level. The message reports that this already happened, so it is a notice after the fact. The manual states that it is possible to continue working, and it lists no causes. That does not mean the cause is unimportant: water that rises to the safety level usually means something let in too much water or did not drain it in time, such as an inlet valve or a blocked drain. The manual does not say which, so we treat those as likely only. The display text is Drain pump active after triggering of the safety level, next to the number 115.

Possible causes
Likely causes — what usually sits behind error code 115 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Water inlet valve letting water in longer than it should
- Drain filter or drain line partly blocked so the tank did not empty in time
- Level sensing reading wrongly and calling for the pump too early
- Overfilled tank after a long run of heavily soiled loads
Safe checks before calling for service
- Read the message and confirm it is 115.
- Check that the drain filter and strainer in the tank are in place and clear of debris.
- Look for standing water in the tank and note how high it sits.
- Run one normal cycle and see whether message 115 returns.
- If it returns, note how many cycles passed and whether the water level looked high, for the service call.
How a technician diagnoses error code 115
- Check the message history for how often 115 has occurred.
- Inspect the drain filter, drain hose and pump inlet for blockage.
- Test the water inlet valve for leaking by or sticking open.
- Check the level sensing and the safety level switch against the manual's wiring.
- Replace the part that fails testing and run several cycles to confirm 115 does not return.
- Inlet valve and level switch checks mean working at live wiring in a wet machine.
- The drain pump and hoses sit behind panels with hot water in them.
- Finding why the safety level was reached needs the machine's own history and service tools.

Can I keep working after code 115?
The manual says it is possible to continue working, but keep an eye on whether it repeats.
Does 115 mean a leak?
Not necessarily. It means the water reached the safety level and the drain pump ran. A leak is reported by a different message.
What if 115 keeps coming back?
A repeating message points to an inlet or drain problem, so have a technician check before it affects every load.
