Henny Penny OFG-391 Fryer Error Code E-41: Programming Failure
E-41 means a programming failure. Turn the switch off, then on. If it persists, re-initialize the control as described in the Programming section, and if it still persists, replace the control panel.
Medium: the control cannot run reliably until the programming is restored, but no safety limit is involved.

What does Henny Penny error code E-41 mean?
The fryer control keeps its settings and cook programs in memory, and it checks that they are valid. If the stored programming is not valid, the controller shows E-41, a programming failure. The manual's action is in three steps. First, turn the switch off, then on, which can clear a glitch. If it persists, re-initialize the control, following the Programming section of the manual, which resets the stored values to a known state. If it still persists, replace the control panel. Re-initializing erases custom programs, so a cook or manager should know what has to be re-entered. The failure can follow a power event or a bad memory write. The message is different from E-46, which is a memory write error, and from E-47 and E-48, which are other internal control failures. Writing down the cook programs before any reset is the one useful thing an operator can do, since re-initializing returns the control to its default state and the programs have to be entered again afterward.
Affected models and control systems
