What does Henny Penny error code E-92 mean?
The fryer's control circuits run on 24 volts AC, and a fuse on the I/O board protects that circuit. If a part on the circuit shorts, the fuse opens to protect the board, and the controller shows E-92. The manual's action is to have the parts in the 24-volt circuit checked for shorts, and it gives the high limit and the drain switch as examples. Replacing the fuse alone is not a cure, because the short that blew it is still there, and the new fuse would open again. The check needs a meter, and the short may be in a part, in the wiring or at a connector. The message shows that the control circuit has lost its supply, so the fryer may not heat or respond. This differs from E-70B, where the power switch or I/O board fails.
