Henny Penny OFG-391 Fryer Error Code E-20B: Draft Fan or Switch
E-20B means the draft fan has failed or the air pressure switch is stuck open. Press the timer button to retry ignition. If it persists, call the Service Department.

What does Henny Penny error code E-20B mean?
Before a gas fryer lights, the draft fan must run and the air pressure switch must close to prove airflow. On the Henny Penny OFG-391 open gas fryer, if the controller starts the fan and never sees the switch close, it shows E-20B and does not light the burner. The manual gives two causes: the draft fan failed, or the air pressure switch is stuck open. The manual's action is to press the timer button to retry ignition, and to call the Service Department if it persists. A retry helps only if the problem was a brief one, such as a stuck switch that freed itself. Without airflow, the burner would risk poor combustion, so the controller refuses to continue. The A version, E-20A, is the opposite state: the switch is already closed when it should be open. Cooks see the fryer try to start, then stop with the code. Because the fan, its wiring and the switch all sit in the same circuit, a technician tests them in order and replaces only the part that fails.
