Meiko Commercial Dishwasher Error Code 410: RO Water Supply Problem
Message 410 on a Meiko M-iClean U with reverse osmosis means the water supply of the reverse osmosis module has a problem. Open the water inlet valve fully and check the pre-filter or sieve. If 410 returns, call us.
Medium: the rinse water supply is affected and the unit may stop short of a full rinse.

What does MEIKO error code 410 mean?
The reverse osmosis module produces the treated water used for the final rinse, and it needs a steady supply of water at the right pressure to do that. The M-iClean U control watches for this, and when the module is not getting or making the water it should, it shows message 410. The manual points the operator to two first checks: the water inlet valve and the pre-filter or sieve. A valve that is partly closed, or a filter that is clogged with sediment, starves the module in just the same way. Behind those two are the cases the operator cannot reach: the membrane or the module itself producing too little, or inlet water pressure that is too low. Because the final rinse depends on this water, a long-running 410 can lead to the holding tank messages that follow it. The maker's steps are to open the inlet valve and clean or replace the filter, then restart the machine. If the message returns, the module should not be bypassed.
Affected models and control systems
This covers Meiko M-iClean U undercounter dishwashers with a reverse osmosis system. Machines without reverse osmosis do not use this message, and other ranges are numbered differently.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
What you may notice
- Message 410 on the display
- Low or no flow at the reverse osmosis module
- Rinse water that runs short during the cycle
Possible causes
Listed in MEIKO's documentation
- Water inlet valve to the module
- Pre-filter or sieve clogged
- Membrane or module output
- Inlet water pressure
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code 410 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Shutoff valve nudged closed during cleaning under the counter
- Supply line pinched behind the machine when it was moved
- Low building pressure at peak hours
Safe checks before calling for service
- Open the water inlet valve fully, as the maker says.
- Check the pre-filter or sieve and clean or replace it.
- Switch the machine off, wait a minute, and start it again.
- Look under the machine for a pinched or leaking supply hose.
- If 410 returns, note when it appears and call us. Do not bypass the module.
How a technician diagnoses error code 410
- Read the message and confirm 410.
- Check the inlet valve, strainer and supply hose.
- Measure inlet pressure and flow at the module.
- Check the pre-filter condition.
- Test the module output into the holding tank.
- Replace the membrane or module only after output is shown to be low.
- The module and its fittings are under water pressure and a failed connection can spray onto the electrics.
- Pressure and flow readings need gauges at the module inlet.
- Deciding between a clogged filter and a spent membrane takes output measurements that only a technician can take safely.
How error code 410 differs from similar codes
Messages 421, 422 and 423 describe the tank running short, while 410 points at the supply to the module.

Can I keep washing with 410?
Possibly for a short time, but the final rinse relies on this water, so expect it to run short.
Will 410 clear itself?
It may if a closed valve was the cause. Reopen it and restart to see.
Is 410 the same as 408?
No. 408 is a filter change reminder, while 410 reports a supply problem.
