Common MEIKO pot & pan washers problems

In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.

01

Strainers clogged with heavy soil

02

Wash water not hot enough

03

Conveyor stops

04

Foam in the wash tank

The K-200 PW and K-400 PW are pot and pan washing variants of the K-Tronic conveyor range, and the LPW versions sit alongside them. They are older machines, and many still do daily work in commercial kitchens. They scrub sheet pans, stockpots and heavy cookware, so the soil load is far higher than on a dish machine.

Heavy soil clogs the strainers first, and a clogged strainer starves the wash pump and lowers wash pressure. We clean and inspect the strainers, check the wash arms and nozzles, and then test the heater and the thermostat if the tank will not warm up. Foam in the wash tank causes malfunctions and poor results, so we also look at the detergent type and the amount being dosed.

These are legacy machines, so we confirm the model before the visit and tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense. A written price comes first, and the repair carries a 30-day warranty on our work.

FAQMEIKO pot & pan washers questions
Why do pans come out dirty from my MEIKO pot washer?

Clogged strainers and wash nozzles are the most common cause, followed by low wash temperature and too much foam. Clean the strainers if the machine is off and cool. If pans still come out dirty, call us.

Do you still repair the MEIKO K-200 PW and K-400 PW?

Yes. These are older K-Tronic machines, and we repair them. Give us the model and what the machine does, and we plan the parts first. If the repair is not worth the money, we say so before we start.

What causes foam in my MEIKO wash tank?

Foam causes malfunctions and poor results on MEIKO machines. Too much or the wrong detergent is the first thing we check. Call us if the foam returns after you correct the dosing.
