Common Sammic problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Machine will not start
Screen does not turn on
Plunger does not start the motor
Excess noise from the disk
Safety message stays on the display
Sammic’s CK combi machines, the CK-35V, CK-38V, CK-45V and CK-48V, combine a vegetable cutter and a bowl cutter, with a brushless variable-speed motor and a color display with icons. The KE-5V and KE-8V are cutter-emulsifiers, and the CA-2V, CA-3V, CA-4V and CA-62 are continuous-feed vegetable machines. Older CK-5, CKE-5, CK-8 and CKE-8 units are still in service.
These machines show plain-text safety messages instead of numbered codes. When a part is out of position, a safety device tells the control not to start, and the display says so. If the machine will not start, a part is out of place or a safety sensor is not working, so we check the lid, bowl and interlocks before anything else. On models with a FORCE CONTROL ring, the ring moves toward red as the motor nears overload.
A screen that stays dark can mean a loose connection between the power board and the control board, or a keypad problem. In vegetable mode the motor will not start with the plunger lowered, and if the hopper is too full the plunger cannot trip its microswitch. Noise usually means a disk or blade rubbing, or worn main shaft bearings.
Kitchens that wash these machines down every day wear out the seals, switches and connectors first, so we check those even when the problem looks like a screen or a motor. Older Sammic machines get an honest answer on repair versus replace. The price is given in writing before work, with a 30-day warranty after.
Sammic lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Why will my Sammic machine not start?
A part may be out of position or a safety sensor is not working. We check the lid, bowl and plunger switches, then the control. You get a written price before any part is replaced.
Why is the screen on my Sammic dark?
A loose connection between the power board and the control board, or a keypad problem, can cause it. We test those before replacing a board and tell you the price in writing.
What does the FORCE CONTROL ring on a Sammic show?
It shows how hard the motor is working. As the ring nears the red zone the motor is close to overload, so we check the load, the blade and the motor.
