The Quiet One is a sound-enclosed programmable blender with a display window that shows messages. Other models we repair include the Vita-Prep 3, the Quick and Quiet, the Power Prep food prep blender, the Immersi-Prep 14 immersion blender and the Rinse-O-Matic station. Older Drink Machine, Drink Machine Advance and Drink Machine MP bar blenders are still in service.
Reading the Quiet One Display
The Quiet One shows plain messages. CORRUPT DATA means the programming data is corrupt, and THERMAL SENSOR FAILURE points to the thermal sensor. MOTOR HAS OVERHEATED REMOVE THE CONTAINER, THEN PRESS START appears when the thermal protector stops the motor, and HOT SHUTDOWN stays on the display until it cools. MOTOR LOCKED PROGRAM TERMINATED tells you the motor locked during a program.
Many of the problems we see are simpler. A loud noise from the blade area usually means a worn drive socket or a loose blade assembly, and a leak from the bottom of the container means the retainer nut is loose. A machine that stops mid-cycle and resets may share a circuit with other equipment or sit on a long extension cord.
Blenders in a busy bar or kitchen work all day, and the drive socket and blade assembly wear first. We line up parts before the visit, write the price down before work begins, and cover our repairs with a 30-day warranty. On an older Drink Machine we say plainly when a repair is not worth it.

The motor overheated and the thermal protector stopped it. Remove the container and let the motor cool before pressing start. If it repeats, we check the vents, the motor and the controls.
Why does my Vitamix blender leak from the bottom?
A loose retainer nut is the usual cause. We tighten or replace it and check the blade assembly and seal, and we give you the price in writing first.
Why does my Vitamix stop in the middle of a cycle and reset?
It may share a circuit with other equipment or be on a long extension cord. We check the outlet and circuit, then the machine itself.
