What does Dexter error code F4 mean?
The washer controller talks to the rest of the system through a data cable. If those messages stop coming through, the control shows F4. The manual puts the data cable first and says to remove any side tension on it, because a cable pulled sideways at its plug loses contact. Next come the connections from P25, P24 and P23 to P15 on the board, and if F4 returns, the PCB washer controller is replaced. The sheet gives checks for this code but no separate list of causes. F4 is different from F13, which reports that the drive and the washer computer are not communicating, and from F21, which is a data error between the controller and the drive.
