Electrolux Washer Extractor Error Code 04: NTC Low Temp
Error code 04 means the NTC temperature sensor is reading below about -9 C, which corresponds to a resistance above about 23.7 kohm. This usually points to an open sensor circuit or a broken sensor cable, or to a machine that has been stored in the cold. A technician should check the sensor against the manual's resistance table.

What does Electrolux Professional error code 04 mean?
The NTC sensor is a thermistor whose resistance changes with temperature, and the CPU board reads that resistance to know how warm the water is. Resistance rises as the temperature falls, so a very high reading looks like extreme cold. When the board sees a value above about 23.7 kohm, equal to roughly -9 C, it concludes the sensor is out of its usable range and shows ERROR 004 / NTC LOW TEMP. A reading that cold inside a washer is rarely real. It most often means the sensor loop is open or the cable is broken, because an open circuit reads as very high resistance. The exception is a machine that has been stored outdoors in freezing weather and not yet brought up to normal temperature.
