What does Henny Penny error code E-20A mean?
A gas fryer must prove that the draft fan is moving air before it lights the burner. An air pressure switch does this: it should be open when the fan is off and close when airflow is proven. On the Henny Penny OFG-391 open gas fryer, E-20A is the manual's air pressure switch failure, stuck closed: the switch reads closed when it should not, so the control cannot trust the airflow proof. The manual's action is to press the timer button to retry ignition, and to call the Service Department if it persists. A switch stuck closed would defeat the airflow safety, so the controller refuses to light the burner. The B version of the code is the opposite case: the draft fan or air pressure switch failed to close, or the switch is stuck open. E-20A needs a repair, not a workaround.
