Jackson Glasswasher Error Code F1: No Water in Booster
F1 on a Jackson Delta HT-E-SEER glasswasher means the control cannot confirm water in the booster tank, so the booster heater is locked out. Check that the supply valve is open. If F1 returns, a technician must check the fill circuit, booster probe and float switch.
High: the control stops the glasswasher and will not run it until the cause is fixed.

What does Jackson error code F1 mean?
Glasswashers depend on a hot final rinse to leave glassware clear and sanitized. The rinse comes from a booster tank that is heated, and the control will not heat an empty tank. If it cannot confirm there is water in the booster, it stops the machine and displays "F1 Service needed" with "No water in Booster". The Delta HT-E-SEER manual lists six causes: low or no water pressure, an inlet valve or fill relay that has failed, a booster heater contactor that is not turning off, a failed booster temperature input (P12) on the IO module, a failed booster probe (T3), and a failed float switch that lets heaters run with no water in the tub. For a bar or restaurant, the first useful question is whether anything changed with the water: a valve closed after cleaning or a low-pressure line. The manual gives a target pressure of 10 +/- 2 PSI.

What you may notice
- Display reads F1 Service needed, No water in Booster
- Machine stops before the rinse
- Glasses come out with no hot rinse, sometimes with spotting
Possible causes
Listed in Jackson's documentation
- Low or no water pressure
- Inlet valve or fill relay failed
- Booster heater contactor not turning off
- Booster temperature input (P12) on the IO module failed
- Booster probe (T3) failed
- Float switch failed, letting heaters run with no water in the tub
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code F1 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- A water shutoff closed during a bar clean-down and never reopened
- A fill screen blocked by sediment after plumbing work nearby
- A float switch gummed up by rinse additive residue
Safe checks before calling for service
- Check that the water supply valve behind or beside the glasswasher is fully open.
- Ask whether the water pressure to the bar or kitchen has dropped; the manual's target is 10 +/- 2 PSI.
- Turn the glasswasher off, wait a minute, and turn it back on.
- Note whether any glass was left in the machine and whether the screen changed after the restart.
How a technician diagnoses error code F1
- Confirm F1 and check the supply pressure against the manual.
- Check that the fill relay supplies voltage to the fill solenoid; replace the failed part.
- Check the booster heater contactor for welded contacts.
- Substitute a 1.2 kOhm resistor for T3 and see whether the booster heater turns off; otherwise replace the IO module.
- Check T3 resistance against the manual's table and replace the float switch if the rest pass.
- Contactor and IO module checks are done on live wiring inside the control cabinet.
- A booster heater that runs dry fails quickly, so a technician confirms water first.
- Resistor substitution on the probe input is a service procedure with a meter.
How error code F1 differs from similar codes
F1 is the booster no-water code on the glasswasher. F6 is the same for the wash tank, and the glasswasher table matches the DishStar HT-E table code for code.

Will glassware be safe to use if I rinse by hand?
Hand rinsing is your own choice, but the machine's hot rinse is the step this code has stopped.
Does F1 mean the booster heater has burned out?
Not necessarily. The manual lists pressure, valves, relays, probes and the float switch before the heater.
Should I keep restarting the machine?
One restart is reasonable. If F1 returns, repeated restarts will not fix a supply or fill problem.
