Jackson Glasswasher Error Code F11: Wash Tank Probe

F11 on a Jackson Delta HT-E-SEER glasswasher means the wash tank temperature probe has failed. The manual's one action is to replace the probe that connects to P10. This is a technician repair.

Medium · inspection needed

High: without a working wash probe the control cannot manage wash temperature.

What does Jackson error code F11 mean?

F11 is the shortest entry on the table. The control reads wash water temperature through probe T1, and when it decides that probe has failed, the screen shows "F11 Service needed - check wash tank thermostat". The manual lists one cause, a failed temperature probe (T1), and one action, to replace the probe that connects to P10. There is no contactor, IO module or heater in this entry, so the machine is telling the technician which part to replace. On a glasswasher the probe sits in a tank of hot, mineral-rich water and is exposed to every cycle, which is why a probe is a normal wear part. The manual does not say how the machine behaves while F11 is displayed and gives no resistance value, so we do not claim a particular result. Operators cannot diagnose it by looking, because the probe is in the tank and the wiring is inside the cabinet.

What you may notice

  • Display reads F11 Service needed - check wash tank thermostat
  • Wash temperature reading that is missing or implausible
  • A cycle that behaves differently from usual

Possible causes

Listed in Jackson's documentation

  • Wash tank temperature probe (T1) failed

Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code F11 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.

  • A probe worn after years in hot, scaled water
  • A probe cable cracked by repeated door movement or tank cleaning
  • A connector at P10 with a poor contact

Safe checks before calling for service

✓ What an operator can do
  1. Turn the glasswasher off and on once.
  2. Do not pull on the probe or its wire.
  3. Note whether a wash temperature reading is shown and whether it looks wrong.
  4. Give the technician the exact screen text.

How a technician diagnoses error code F11

  1. Confirm F11 and that the probe plugs into P10.
  2. Inspect the probe lead and plug for damage.
  3. Measure probe resistance against the manual's table.
  4. Replace the probe connected to P10.
  5. Heat up and confirm the reading follows the water temperature.
! Leave this to a technician
  • The probe plug is on a live control board.
  • Replacing it means working around a tank that may still hold hot water.
  • Proof that the probe is the failed part needs a meter and the maker's table.

How error code F11 differs from similar codes

F11 names the wash probe by itself. F12 does the same for the booster probe, and F7 and F10 list the wash probe among several causes.

F11Questions about Jackson error code F11
Is F11 a heater problem?

No. The manual lists only the wash probe, not the heater.

Can I keep using the glasswasher?

The control cannot read wash temperature reliably, so we advise getting the probe replaced.

Will the machine tell me which probe?

Yes. F11 is the wash tank probe on P10, and F12 is the booster probe.
