Merrychef High-Speed Oven Error Code E100: Mains Power On
E100 is an information event, not an error. It records that the SRB relay board was supplied with 24 V from the transformer once mains power was switched on. If it matches normal use, no solution is needed.
Low: an information event; the oven keeps working.

What does Merrychef error code E100 mean?
Each time mains power reaches the oven, the transformer supplies 24 V to the SRB relay board, and the SRB logs E100: MAINS POWER ON. The entry is a marker in the event log that says the oven was powered up at that moment. A technician reading the log uses it as a landmark. Other entries that follow it, such as E000 when the boards link, or E086 for the on/off switch signal, are normal for a start-up. The manual's guidance is that nothing needs to be done if the entry is consistent with normal operation. It only becomes interesting in a pattern. Many E100 entries close together mean the oven was losing and regaining mains power, which would be an issue with the supply, a loose plug, or a breaker, rather than with the oven itself.
Affected models and control systems
Merrychef eikon e2s with the QTS touch screen and SRB relay board controller. Confirmed in the e2s service manual under Information Error Codes.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
What you may notice
- E100 MAINS POWER ON in the event log
- One entry each time the oven is plugged in or the breaker is reset
- Several entries in a row if the supply cuts in and out
Possible causes
Likely causes — what usually sits behind error code E100 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Mains power switched on or restored to the oven
- Breaker or plug that makes poor contact and drops power repeatedly
- A building supply that cuts out under load
Safe checks before calling for service
- If the oven starts normally, nothing needs to be done.
- If the oven restarts by itself, check that the plug is pushed in fully.
- Note the times the oven lost power, since a pattern points to the supply.
- Check whether other equipment on the same circuit also cuts out.
How a technician diagnoses error code E100
- Read the log and count E100 entries and their time stamps.
- Match E100 with E000 and E086 to see a normal start-up sequence.
- If entries are clustered, inspect the plug, receptacle and breaker for heat or looseness.
- Measure the supply under load.
- Repair the supply issue and watch the log after several days.
- Inspecting the receptacle and breaker involves live mains wiring.
- Interpreting a cluster of entries needs the full log and a voltage check.
How error code E100 differs from similar codes
E100 is a plain power-on marker; E088 reports a supply voltage out of range and stops the oven.

Is E100 an error?
No. The manual calls it an information event: the SRB got 24 V from the transformer when mains was switched on.
Why do I see many E100 entries?
Each power-up creates one. Many in a short time mean mains power is cutting in and out and the supply should be checked.
Does E100 need a repair?
Not by itself. A repair is only needed when something is causing the power to drop.
