Some Scotsman machines are supplied with a leasing option that lets the leasing company disable the unit remotely, for example when an account is not up to date. When that lockout is active, every panel light blinks together and the machine stops making ice. Nothing is wrong with the parts. The control is working as designed, so the machine is stopped by the lease arrangement and not by water, refrigeration or a sensor. Staff see a unit that makes no ice and shows all four lights flashing at once, which can look alarming but has nothing to do with the cabinet or sealed system. The manual's causes are not mechanical at all: whether the machine is under a lease, the status of the lease account, how to contact the leasing company, and whether any other problem exists. That last point matters, because once the lockout is lifted, a real problem such as a water or refrigeration issue would show on its own. So the first move is a phone call to the leasing company.
