Bally sells walk-ins with its own evaporators and condensing units. The BLP is a low-profile unit cooler, the BTL is a center-mount unit cooler, and the BF-line is an air-cooled condensing unit family with microprocessor control. The fan delay and defrost termination control, part 1072338, is a part we see called out on these coolers.
When a coil ices up on one of these systems, we check the defrost termination and the fan delay, then the sealed system. On the BF-line we read the controller and the sensors. For a warm box in summer, a dirty condensing unit is the first thing we look at.
Bally does not sell replacement compressors, so we confirm what is available before we quote. Older units are repairable in many cases, and a candid cost view comes with the quote.

What does the fan delay and defrost termination control do?
It keeps the fans off until the coil is cold again after defrost and ends defrost when the coil is warm. If it fails, the coil can ice up or the fans can blow warm air.
How do I know if I have a BLP or a BTL?
The BLP is a low-profile unit cooler and the BTL is a center-mount one. The label on the evaporator shows which you have. Both are common on Bally walk-ins.
