The Berkel MB series are countertop bread slicers with a one-third horsepower motor, sold by slice thickness: MB1-2STD, MB3-4STD, MB3-8STD and MB7-16STD. Bakeries and grocery bakeries use them to slice loaves.
Unplug the slicer before cleaning and never reach into the blade area. A torn or ragged slice usually means the blades are dull or the guides have worn. A machine that will not turn needs a look at the motor and switch, and a jam is often crumbs and dough residue packed around the blades.
