The PF family is the freezer counterpart to the PR refrigerators, with pass-thru and roll-thru cabinets. Plate numbers such as PF1HC-1AHS, PF1HC-1AS and PF1HC-1BG show the section count and door layout. Twelve numbers are listed.
Doors on both sides mean more air entering and more wear on gaskets. In a freezer, that air turns to frost fast. We check the seals and hinges first, then the defrost, the condenser and the fans.
If frost forms mostly near one door, tell us which, and we focus there. Roll-thru versions also get a look at the sill and the floor where carts enter. A pass-thru freezer has two doors to seal, two hinge sets to check and a defrost heater that must finish its cycle. We test the sill on roll-thru versions as well, then confirm the freezer holds its temperature with both doors shut for a full cycle before we leave.

Humid air enters there and freezes on the nearest cold surface. A worn gasket is the usual cause. Look for a worn seal there first.
Are PF parts the same as PR?
No. Freezers use different gaskets and heaters. We match by plate number. We confirm the heater and gasket for your number. No, because freezers use their own gaskets and heaters. We match every part to the plate number.
Can you service a roll-thru freezer?
Yes. We check the sill and floor area as well as the refrigeration. Yes. We check the sill and the floor area where carts enter, as well as the refrigeration, and we plan extra time for the job.
